It's located in the 18th arrondissement, at the foot of the Montmartre hill (Place du Tertre is a 15-minute walk away), not far from Place Pigalle (named after the sculptor Pigalle). This is the most famous Parisian cabaret, and one of the very last to continue the glittering, rhinestone-laden show that made Paris famous. The show is divided into 4 colorful tableaux, the highlight of which is the famous French Cancan, the brainchild of the sultry dancers of the day. In all, over 80 artists take to the stage, including international acrobats and jugglers. "Féérie" is the name of the show at the Moulin Rouge. It has already won over 12,000,000 people since its creation on December 23, 1999. Shows at the Moulin have often changed. In 1889, we were more into circus arts, and the most famous act was... Petoman.
2 formulas and 3 shows
There are two ways to discover the Moulin Rouge: dinner and show (at 7:00 pm) or show only (at 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm).
In 2023, a dinner and show including a menu (including vegan options) and half a bottle of champagne per person starts at 225 euros. The show itself starts at 110 euros, with champagne optional. There are variations depending on the date and time: 9:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m., but there are sometimes prices a little lower (90 euros) depending on the date and time. There is a V.I.P. formula (at 445 euros). Le Moulin Rouge boasts the largest culinary brigade in France. You won't necessarily be asked to wear a suit and tie for men, but it is advisable to dress up (after all, this is a prestigious venue and you're going out). Bermuda shorts are forbidden. So are caps and headgear. If you can see, please note that luggage is not allowed.
