Nougat is a famous delicacy! Present in France since at least the 16th century, it is the culinary glory of Montélimar, in Drôme Provençale. It's one of the famous 13 desserts that are put on the festive table at Christmas in Provence. Eggs, sugar, honey, almonds... Although it won't taste as good as Montélimar nougat, which is made by professional nougat makers, you can try making your own nougat with our nougat recipe.

Why not treat yourself to a stay in Drôme Provençale?
Jérôme Prod'homme
Drôme Provençale is such a pretty corner of France. At the confluence of Provence and Dauphiné, bordered by the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux, it stretches from Montélimar to Montbrun-les-bains, passing through Grignan, Saint Paul Trois Châteaux and superb sun-drenched villages, but in a green land - light green for the olive trees, deeper for the vines. It's a real place full of the sweetness of life, where it's good to spend your vacations. Discover some of the places selected by Monsieur de France...

Grignan ? An island in the middle of an ocean of lavender
Jérôme Prod'homme
In the Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne region, there is the Drôme Provençale. Montélimar and its famous nougat, Saint-Paul-les-trois-châteaux and its small restaurants, Nyons and its black olives, but also the perched villages and their markets. The Drôme Provençale is a small bubble of sunny softness and preserved landscapes. It is here that Grignan is located. And Grignan remembers the one who wrote the most beautiful letters in the history of France: the Marquise de Sévigné.
